Tariff-distribution @L'TUR
Tariff-distribution is fast and simple at L’TUR Baden-Baden / Frankfurt February 2009
For over 12 months now, all L’TUR agents are directly provided with their own net-fare tariffs via the GDS. Up until now, this was a service only offered via third party providers and outside companies. However, now this can be achieved much easier, faster, more cost efficiently and most importantly all out of one coordinated system simply by using visualFares Feed. L’TUR assures by using this HitchHiker service that net-fare tariffs, which are updated several times a day, are bookable in Amadeus.
“We clearly increased the amount of net-fare tariff bookings within the past several months”, says Richard Brodrecht (R. Brodrecht, Manager Flight, L’TUR). “Furthermore, this software ensures higher effectivity and a quicker import of self-negotiated tariffs. Tariffs are available in the GDS at the push of a button! They are easily found and are bookable by our agents, just like published fares. Currently, time-to-market has become a calculable factor for us – namely, instantly!”
“The workflow is absolutely simple”, says Petra Sonnenberg (Petra Sonnenberg Manager Scheduled Flight, L’TUR). “We just enter our self-negotiated fares into HitchHiker’s visualFares Entry. The created net-fare tariffs are then validated locally afterwards, which means that they are checked for GDS-conformity and then filed onto an FTP-account. After that, everything is done automatically without us having to intervene.” As soon as files from customers are filed onto a HitchHiker account, a HitchHiker robot takes these files and converts them into the mandatory Amadeus format automatically. Afterwards, HitchHiker transfers them to the Amadeus-host which uploads the files during the upload timewindow to the GDS.
“With visualFares Feed we are able to react extremely fast to price changes on the market. Aside from this, we are also able to load specials on short notice on Friday afternoon to the GDS – our competitors are able to react on Monday morning at the earliest. Furthermore, individual mark-ups are no problem for us either” says Brodrecht.
“In general, visualFares Feed is a service addressed to user groups in the air fare and net-fare division such as consolidators, airlines and travel agencies. In only a few additional steps visualFares Feed offers the fastest market entry of daily, updated special tariffs – in fact, mostly automatically and integrated into the current workflow. Moreover, visualFares Feed users are the only ones who are able to enter and upload different customers with different mark-ups without having to edit them additionally in the Amadeus FareXpert System” says Michael Harrer (M. Harrer, Key Account Manager, HitchHiker).
